Agree with all of this, Mariah. I really think a lot of the lack of connection comes down to most adults are terrified of accidentally ‘offending’ someone. Everything can be taken as a ‘political’ statement to the ‘right’ person, and that can result in an instant screaming match with a stranger.

We tell ourselves it’s easier to just ‘connect’ online, but it’s so empty and hollow, even under the best of circumstances.
