I went to high school in Texas way back in the day when the state voted Democratic. Unfortunately, I was there when JFK was assassinated about 100 miles away in Dallas. I remember the tears and sobs of my civics teacher. I have some Texas creds, like playing the state sport of football and did a decent job, and I still have a few friends there. I moved elsewhere after high school for education and employment. I don’t really understand what happened to Texas voters over the years. I assume it is because of the influx of Yankees who wanted to play Texan or other “low IQ” people (just quoting DJT) but don’t really know the answer.🤔 In any event, I was really excited to hear today that Jasmine Crockett is running for Senate. I hope that the voters are as happy as I am that she is running. I hope that they realize how good she is and don’t vote for someone else because of racism, misogyny, or jealousy of her intellect. She can help save Texas and the country from their self-destruction. She will always be entertaining and look out for the needy. If she doesn’t win, I think we should give Texas to Mexico but doubt that Mexico would want it since the state takes more money from blue states than it gives back. That’s my opinion anyway, for what it’s worth.
Also, I supported Colin Allred when he ran for Senate. He’s a good guy and I appreciate him stepping aside in the primary. I hope he wins his run for a Congressional seat.
