I expect we all suffer from the illusion of being open to argument but, there are now so many voices maintaining their version of truth that to see the real truth gets harder by the day. Whether right or wrong I’ve found that to head in the general direction of truth may take some considerable time and effort.

So for many you can also throw ‘laziness’ in to the mix when they simply think everything is conspiracy manufactured to be anti their indoctrination, it is not a polorized position, they simply don’t have any mental capacity for themselves or those around them, they just ‘do’ - it’s so much easier for the lazy mind.
