The app for independent voices

I personally feel the pragmatist in this approach—and see that immediate value for the immediate future.

But I think there are fundamentals that cannot be ignored, in order to predict the outcomes.

I would suggest that:

1. AI (technology at large) is now outpacing the systems that govern it. (Humanity broke the Turing test without any fanfare).

2. Capitalism as the motivation system behind technological development has proven disastrous without control (See the Environmental Protection Agency)

3. Nation states are grasping for sovereignty in a world that has outpaced them, while capitalists have successfully figured out how to control democracy.

Long term, I agree that a governing system needs to learn as fast as the system it governs—but I don't believe that is possible without great disruption of our fundamental building blocks.
