I’m sure that this won’t make me any friends but personally I find a little tough to stay afloat in the “empowerment v. objectification” currents. The “Me Too” firestorm made sense right up to the time I found out that many of the accusers stayed friends (and more) with the abusers.
Same thing with the clothing, bathing suits, dresses. I guess, as you say, it’s tough as a man to parse it all out.
