John Henry Weston calls out Cardinal Burke for his silence in the face of Leo’s pro-LBGT positions. “It is THE most shocking thing.”

Weston makes a good point. How does an American Cardinal refuse to publicly call out an American Pope who speaks contrary to Catholic teaching on American issues, when the same Cardinal was willing to call out Bergoglio and even issue a formal dubia to him?

This doesn’t make sense unless Burke cut a deal. Did Burke agree not to publicly criticize Leo or the Vatican in exchange for being allowed to celebrate his annual TLM at St. Peter’s every year?
