The most transparent writer there is about the publishing industry. I don't understand why others aren't as expressive about the trials and tribulations and somewhat downright crazy-making process that is presenting your finished work to those who likely won't understand it. People usually think: "You finish the work, and then the magic just happens." When so often, it is either "You finish the work, and there is silence" or "You finish the work, and then the hands and fingers come grasping at your work trying to change it word for word." Maybe we should just serialize our novels on Substack?
