The app for independent voices

I have struggled with the idea of taking SS when I retire, knowing full well that every dime I paid in is gone, and that my son’s generation will be saddled with the burden. On the other hand, if I do not take it, the burden on the younger generation will not be lessened by one dime. At 68 years old, and with limited savings but no debt, I will end up being dependent on SS. This is after a lifetime of my wife and myself paying well over a million dollars in taxes. Communism makes us all dependents.
