I always think of the artists in the Soviet Union frustrated in their ambitions by state oversight on major building projects who resorted to designing bus shelters to express their eclectic visions, so that now there’s all these baroquely designed and often quite beautiful bus shelters scattered around Russia. Censorship can be good bc it makes you speak and think creatively. The once articulate left is retarded now because it went uncensored for so long.
