that’s a really helpful summary. one thing i keep wondering about is the impact on all of the disinformation from the federal government regarding the ICE shootings, among other things. i’m not sure how you measure this, but it seems to me everyone in this country and outside it must look at those videos and say that the president, vp, head of DHS, etc are lying through their teeth about this. it’s become Orwellian.

if people believe the leaders of the govt are corrupt, self-serving, and dishonest to their core, doesn’t this lead to a weaker currency? i wonder if there are analagous historical situations to look to here.
