Great article. I consider myself a rationalist, but I can’t ignore what’s unfolding around us. Deliberate mass-immigration policies across the West, increasingly deranged identity politics, the capture of key institutions, the indoctrination of our youth, the systematic cover-ups of grooming gangs — taken individually, none of this makes much sense. Taken together, it makes no sense at all under the assumption of incompetence or coincidence.

Which brings me back to a line from a book of my youth — one that has stayed with me for decades and feels more relevant now than ever:
