Really enjoyed reading this post, thank you. It reminded me a little of Jon Favreau‘s latest Offline episode, where he talked about (and I‘m paraphrasing) people not trusting their eyes to create their own reality that suits their political beliefs. I feel like we see it so often where the rightful response to harm - be it racism, sexism or other types of extremism - is cast as just as bad, or even worse as the offense itself. I‘m having a really hard time how to deal with this dichotomy, it feels incredibly hopeless. Any advice here, on how to better respond in these moments or how to better deal with them myself would be much appreciated 👍
