The Light That Is Too Close to See.

When we speak of unveiling the light of being, we are not speaking of attaining something new. We are not speaking of a future state, a refined experience, or a permanent condition granted to the spiritually accomplished. The light of being is not hidden because it is distant. It is hidden because it is too close, too intimate, too obvious for a mind that has been trained to look elsewhere.

Awakening is not fireworks. It is not an extraordinary state. It is a shift of identity — from being the content of experience to recognizing yourself as the aware presence within which all content appears. Nothing is erased. The personality remains. Emotions arise. The body ages. Life continues. What softens is the belief that the personhood is what you are.

The light of being does not come and go. Experiences do. Clarity comes and goes. Even confusion appears and disappears. But awareness itself does not move. It is the ground in which all movement occurs.

The invitation is simple. Notice the awareness that is reading these words. Notice the presence that requires no improvement. The seeking and the seeker soften together. The light is unveiled the moment you stop looking away.
