Accountability. Or rather the precise and systematic absence of it. The grand jury that saw nothing. The files that went missing. The agents fired for doing their jobs. The committee that spent six hours asking the wrong person the wrong questions while the right questions sat unanswered in a database missing half its contents. The election official who spent years calling 2020 a fiction and now runs the office responsible for making sure 2026 is not. Accountability has not had a good week.
