People often talk about what depression feels like. Much less is said about what healing from depression feels like — and how easy it is to miss, because it can be so subtle.
It doesn’t arrive as sudden happiness. Often it arrives as tiny sensations returning:
The smell of coffee. Birds chirping in the morning. Feeling the warm sun on your skin.
This is not about embracing the small things. It’s about being able to notice them again.
