Thanks for this take - I totally agree. I stumbled on the Passionflix adaptation and jumped on it because I was a huge BDB fan back in the day (at least up until Vishous's book, after which I got sick of the constant brand name dropping and cutesy speak from strapping vampires). I had a blast with the adapted series (hated the cheap wigs and scary contact lenses though!) and appreciated the faithfulness to the books. Can't wait for Season 2 and especially Season 3 since Lover Awakened is the GOAT.

I'm finding the other Passionflix offering hit or miss. I'd say I'm at a 50% success level but I still have a dozen shows to go plus the 2 other series, so we'll see. I hope the platform has enough support to keep going and getting better and better.
