It is no good for ethnonationalists to assert that both designations simply are a matter of genetic lineage and thus the vast majority of people who disagree with this are straightforwardly, factually wrong. It certainly doesn’t help when some of them insist that this is ‘not up for debate’ and that to disagree with them is to ‘deny their right to exist.’ This approach has never convinced anybody.
