Make money doing the work you believe in

Thank you for the kind mention. I recall you and me chatting about this waaaay back then it seemed blooming obvious that links and a lot of the SEO stuff should fall under PR but the rest of the industry wasn't listening (some of it probably still isn't).

The only thing I can add to your tale is this. I remember being at some major conference down south - Dom's event, was it BrightonSEO? Not sure - and the keynote speaker being a customer of yours (you had left the event at this point) and he got up and a full half of the talk was about the success you had brought them - through domain advice and SEO/Digital PR advice and activities. First time I had ever seen a customer/client of any PR org spend so much time on bigging up his PR partner.

For an industry that constantly woes about "oh we can't track this and there's no ROI on that" to me digital PR seemed a no brainer. You want something to track? How about where you rank on a search engine?

But no, the industry would rather miss the boat.

It's OK I'm sure we'll never do that again and lessons were learned and everyone will be an AI GEO expert. Honest.
