Doug Ford’s daughter Kara Ford makes $211k/year as a Director at Runnymede Healthcare Centre - here’s the truth about this nepo-baby

Some of you who are active in #onpoli on X might have seen with the Sunshine List having come out that Doug Ford’s daughter, Kara Ford is Director of Strategy & Engagement at Runnymede Healthcare Centre. Here are just a few facts:

- She has had an $83K raise in pay since 2022 (+65% increase)

- From 2024 - 2025 alone, she had a 32% increase in pay

- She is the 6th highest paid person in the entire healthcare centre

- She now has a higher salary than the premier himself

Now, just reading this alone, you’re probably thinking - wow, what nepotism! One of the Premier’s daughters in a cushy public sector job making an insane salary that has gone up an exorbitant amount in just a few years? Corruption! - And you’d be right, this is corruption. However, this goes beyond that. Kara Ford is vastly undeserving of this job regardless of her being the Premier’s daughter, because she is vastly unqualified.

Iwent to high school with Kara and her sisters at Richview collegiate institute and was friends with some of her friends. I and anyone else who was being honest who knew Kara could tell you that Kara is one of the dumbest people they’ve ever met. If the Ford family isn’t filled with many bright people, Kara may be at the bottom of the totem pole of the family, which is saying something. She was borderline illiterate in high school, to a degree that was shocking given the family and privilege she grew up in. She did a two year diploma at Conestoga College in broadcasting after high school and went on to an internship at the new defunct Sun News Network. Then, she went on to work at the family company, Deco Labels, as she could not be employed elsewhere. I know that for a bunch of years after college she was marketing herself as a makeup artist and lash application artist and that this was her “job” aside from working at Deco. She was quietly hired at Runnymede in 2022, so that would have been her first real job. She had no qualifications for this position in the first place and it’s unclear how she was hired into it.

It would be okay if Kara was just dumb but she was known as a high school bully and would pick on and make fun of less popular girls with her group of friends who were known as the “mean girls of Richview”.

The Board at Runnymede who approves her salary should be ashamed. Of course, this is because Runnymede is in the riding where the Ford family lives and they have gotten tons of money while Doug has been Premier.

I would love to hear from people who work with her be honest about her capabilities. Runnymede health sciences should be questioned and audited for this egregious waste of taxpayer dollars on the Premier’s daughter’s salary.
