Thank you for this - although both are equally helpful and important, I feel it can be much harder to find resources for neurodivergent brains that address increasing positive emotions rather than managing negative ones. I especially appreciate the clarification of how the advice in The New Joy is directed towards neurotypical people and how it can be interpreted differently - it helps a lot to hold this distinction in my mind so I can recognise when my thought patterns are pushing me towards what I have internalised as the 'proper', or neurotypical, way to think. I also appreciated that you clarify the concept in detail before giving actionable steps. Also, the ability to listen to the article significantly helped me to process it so thank you for that option.
