My bet is that a Medicare/Medicaid model for all is likely inevitable given the labor displacement will lead to a rise in uninsured lives. Political pressure to expand coverage will increase, and the willingness to tax the AI labs to fund this will go up.

For those not displaced by AI, employer funded healthcare may just become an additional benefit on top of the universal baseline coverage. This benefit is likely to look more like what we today would call not medically necessary, but as medical innovation continues there are likely to be more treatments that improve either a workers wellbeing or productivity (ie general physical health can improve cognitive function, and cosmetic changes can improve mental stability). As top talent gets more competitive to attract, will be more creative ways to attract them.
