Fascinating piece.

I’m curious why Level 5 seems to require AI + service in a single entity that competes with law firms. If an otherwise Level 4 software company is ingrained as the system of record and medium of communication/trust between a client and their law firm, isn’t the human judgment/strategy/trust layer that seems to be the defining aspect of Level 5 encapsulated by that dynamic?

Or in other words, why is a company that layers human services on AI automation more defensible than a deep vertical AI software company that is used by (sells to) lawyers either at law firms or corporates to ultimately deliver risk and business advice to the underlying client?

Or is the point really about direct sales access to the client and not just law firms?
