I have a good example for your section on physical illusions. I was playing goalie in a soccer game and dislocated a finger stopping a shot. I didn’t notice, and when I picked up the ball I thought it had a hole or dent in it.

My brain expected the finger to be making contact along the same spherical surface as the other fingers, and hadn’t processed its physical displacement. It interpreted it as a depression in the surface.
