I love this theme so much! I just watched a substack live with Priya Patel that reframed skills as ‘crafts’ and how many years we spent learning those crafts, sometimes without knowing how they’ll help us. And it’s true we love the genius story bc it absolves us in some part. But it’s also so satisfying to watch excellence unfold in unexpected ways (the underdog story). But to your point, here’s to working it.
