You are not abandoning him. You are answering yourself.

He is grown. And a grown man who requires your suffering to feel powerful is not a protector. He is a threat.

You were not created to be managed by his wounds, contained by his ego, or sacrificed to his unfinished becoming. You were not called to mother a man who refuses to stand.

Sis, this is not about giving up on him. This is about refusing to give up on your life.

Let it be said plainly: A man who is committed to your destruction does not deserve your loyalty. A man who weaponizes your past does not get access to your future.

And you do not need permission but if you’ve been waiting for it, here it is:

You are allowed to leave the man who is trying to break you. You are allowed to choose yourself without apology. You are allowed to walk away and call it wisdom.

That is not abandonment. That is survival. That is power.
