As a natural explorer and not-so natural leader, I’ve been (sometimes painfully) aware of these “two wolves”. I’ve fed the explorer more because, surprise, I’m good at it - and the leader has been starving, set aside. Another case of nurture vs nature, in this case, self-nurture.
