I love Bilbao. Been there only 2x. Most likely it’s because my ancestors were from there, along with what was originally Las Encartaciones, located to the west of Bilbao. I could imagine my grandfather, someone I never met, traversing through the streets of the Casco Viejo and Abando where he grew up living with his aunts and uncles.
