What about those folks who are against Urdu on the basis of linguistic nationalism (لسانی عصبیت)? They claim that Urdu was never spoken by their ancestors, and that they seek to revive their native language and demand its removal? This is in spite of the fact that Urdu is spoken by Muslims throughout the subcontinent as a common tongue, and that its function was never to undermine native languages to begin with.
