A group of professionals. Someone popped the question: should we be concerned with our customers using AI to challenge our advice?
What followed was the classic denial, “AI can never do this”…even slander like “you should just fire that client”.
What astounded me the most is that:
Groupthink is real and can be detrimental. Everyone was parroting each other
Most people in that thread (likely 200+) did not even try experiencing what AI can do. Instead they chose to fight to preserve the past.
Blockbuster saw Netflix coming - for years. They were stuck believing customers pref the video store experience. AI democratized knowledge and expertise that was previously only accessible to a small group. Will clients use it to challenge their lawyer, accountant, engineer? Absolutely. The reframe is how to make this an opportunity, not a threat
