This brought back all my memories from my university year in Bilbao. I lived in Getxo and didn’t realize what a gem it was with the adorable Puerto Viejo, easy access to the Metro, and of course the beaches nearby at Palencia. I visited Bilbao, Getxo, and Algorta last year after leaving university nearly 20 years ago and had a wonderful time reminiscing. Places like the Plaza Nueva in the Casco Viejo, Algorta’s Puerto Viejo, and the Puente Colgate felt unchanged.
