I grew up in a semi Southern village soaked in conservative Christianity. Many people were racists about African Americans and a few about Jews.
I attended Sunday School and church and knew Jesus and the Apostles were Jews, so my family strongly rejected all racism and respected Jews. I was shocked and aghast at those few I encountered who despised Jews.
How could anyone who read a Jewish book about a God who created all people in His own image as well as the Hebrew people to carry His message hate that message and representation? That was insane. It still is.
May the Lord of all bring the only peace possible in the people of the book.
