The part that shocked me most when researching for this was that despite paying for this energy transition, we don’t get any of the benefits. We have been investing for 15 years in wind power, but when that wind is used to power our homes we get charged gas prices. Someone pockets the difference, but it isn’t the ones who paid the bill.
