I wish working on hard stuff felt natural like consumption. I’m trying to catch up on some work over the weekend but it’s reaaaaally hard to focus.
It’s much easiar to binge LOTR or read Kingdom. I can spend hours in a flow state doing consumption.
But then if I want to work (which is also a form of consumption, it’s hard) it’s easy to procrastinate and put things off. One piece of me says “yeah maybe you don’t..want to do this?” but on the other hand, you can’t just not do your work (especially in a job)
On the other hand i’m also reading The Innovator’s Dilemma, though veryyyy slowly. So slow I wonder if I am even making progress. But the page count tells me some number is going up.
I think the same rule can apply to work. That’s why to-do lists cam be so nice because it helps track when “number goes up”
And who doesn’t like that?
