I am struck by the first footnote which should remind us that Republicans have been trying to sell us this scam for decades. The mainstream “liberal” media’s reluctance to call it out as a scam allows them to keep bringing back the same dishonest claims. Then that same media chastises people who see through the lies for pointing out that millions of Americans who vote for Republicans are voting against their own best interests.
