Make money doing the work you believe in

A great piece by Lily Ray on why AI content at scale keeps backfiring.

If you're doing any of these, getting results, and thinking "why not scale with another hack", sooner or later Google's algorithm catches up.

1. Comparison pages at scale (/X-vs-Y)2.

2. "What is X" glossary pages, often programmatically translated

3. "Best X for Y" listicles

4. Self-promotional listicles where the publisher names itself #1

5. Competitor-vs-alternatives pages, one per named competitor brand

6. Programmatic location and language scaling with thin per-page uniqueness

7. FAQ farms, one question per URL, optimised for AI extraction with schema

8. Off-topic content at scale, unrelated to the publisher's actual business

Bad thing is, Google takes too long to react to these schemes. SEOs find a hole, abuse it, oversell it until it stops working, then jump to the next thing. Clients get confused or feel scammed, and that's bad for the whole industry.SEO needs time like any other business. If you don't have 10 domains to play with and you're trying to build a brand, you have to be patient. No one likes hearing that.
