My mom was a high school biology teacher, and then a guidance counselor, for a catholic high school. She loved that job, and was an educator at heart. One of the interesting things was when she’d bring my brothers along to help set up her room before the school year began. I never got over the weird, ghostly feeling of being in a school that wasn’t in session.
