Matt, I’ve been thinking a lot about Kellie and you in the brief time that our paths crossed. For whatever reason you and Kellie found a place in my heart. Your kindness and caring made a deep impression on me and then when I saw you with your dogs, that spot in my heart grew a little bit larger. This world is a little less bright because we no longer have Kellie’s shining star radiating in it. I am heartbroken for you and her family and the doggies but also because we need people like Kellie in this world.

I will remember her and you in the work you did on President Obama‘s campaign and how lucky I was to know the two of you if only for a brief time.

I believe that Kelly’s light now shines through you and her legacy will continue through every once she touched.
