I understand this with the depth of my soul. I just found out my Bio Mom passed in 2025. She lived such an isolated life- which is what I’m doing currently. There are many people out there who do not understand adoptees. I felt disconnected from my adoptive family before I was told I was adopted. I was different. I knew that, I felt it. My only sanctuary as a young girl was my grandparents home. And boy, do I wish I could just go back there. Back into safety. Back into love. Thank you for sharing your story Deanna.
