The language of renewal is welcome, but any “new path” that begins by disciplining Palestinian politics before ending Israeli domination risks reproducing the old framework in softer language. Palestinian democracy matters, but it cannot be treated as a substitute for accountability, decolonisation and enforceable rights. Without that, “political horizon” remains another diplomatic phrase for managing Palestinian dispossession.
