And I too have had a dog-kid who became my emotional support buddy - got me thru the year I lost my husband, my father-in-law, his elderly dogbro, and my dad, all in 12.5 months. Plus, was a huge help to me when I initially got him following losing my job unexpectedly and he also helped my husband as his health was failing. So - YES! Special Dogs are indeed special.
