I lived and worked in the US for nearly 20 years, in the 80s and 90s. Since I’ve been back, I’ve been banging on about this threat. Australia seems to be about 20 years behind the US with regards to the infiltration of the Xtian right in politics and it is so frightening. They don’t care if their leaders are religious (as if Poorline or Trump believe in their dogma), they just use these power-hungry assholes to further their Dominionistic aims. People need to wake up.
