I wrote position papers with the same critiques you give in the years when the 2019 drafts were presented. Any return to 1662 language and theology was routinely defeated.

One could suggest that in the way we label the 1662 Formulary as “Cranmer’s Book” one could also say that the 2019 is “Duncan’s Book,” being both the then Archbishop and Chair of the Liturgy and Common Worship Task Force.
