This is a very good piece of writing. Unfortunately I think you are correct that innocent people are going to inherent group blame... The way to stop this is for the community(black in this case) to call out and punish their own bad actors en mass. Otherwise this will probably end up becoming a wider racial conflict that will end poorly.
