Hi Steve. This is a deeply honest piece of writing. I was moved by reading it. This line in particular struck me:

“Our former selves as speechless witnesses forever in shame of the aftermath.”

This is so much the case when we hit turbulence in relationships. Our former selves are always there. Those parts of us that remain wounded by our present interactions can’t help but haunt us.
