It is a willing co-conspirator with the neocolonialist Zionist project. The goal is to ensure that Lebanon will always be too weak and corrupt to impede Zionist expansion. Whether Lebanon descends into civil war as a failed state or formally becomes a vassal of Israel makes little difference to Israel. Either advances its agenda.
