Very moving piece. Thank you! I attended two conventions as a pastoral delegate and swore off ever attending another one. They serve little purpose other than posturing, bearing false witness, and “good old boy” networking. As our Synod enters hospice, stay faithful to the call on your life to serve with the gifts our Lord Jesus has given you. The Church continues on whether or not the LCMS does, b/c it is Jesus’s church and we serve at His call and direction. Blessings to all who love Christ and want to see His Kingdom come here on earth as it is in Heaven.
