Love this piece. Brought me back to my own care giving days for my maternal grandmother (Nani), for whom I used to bring a bedpan at night. She said that exact sentence to me once “I’ll never forget what you’ve done for me.” I think that’s the highest praise I’ve received to this day. I love your metaphor of the nested dolls.
