So lovely to read this dearest Tiff… it brought a smile to my face and an “I totally get what you mean!” because, living in Africa, on African Terms is just that same kind of crazy extraordinary - the beauty in unpredictability and the small (sometimes spectacularly intense) powers, patterns and pleasures delivered to us who inhabit the land. Oh and peacocks yesss I had a pair who I loved (and now miss sometimes) for their prowess and antics but they were relocated after we endured a siege of bird-hem - chickens, peacocks, wild geese all competing alongside cats and dogs and my 3 boys… I remember it now with a smile, though at the time it was one of those - “Enough, no more… tis not so sweet as ‘twas before as Shakespeare so wrote.
