I could never understand this “pride” thing. How can someone be proud of something that had no hand in? You can be proud of graduating from college, or sending your drunk neighbour into a coma for trying to strangle his wife, or for donating money to Israel. Or taking a selfie in a kilt. Something you’ve actually done. Proud of your actions. But proud being Jewish? Or being gay? Or having blue eyes, large nose, been born in Belarus? Come on, people. Get with the program. Be proud of the weather. :)
