This is so good. I honestly don't think I've ever seen anyone write a poem about the actual, messy process of hunting for inspiration before. Most people just show you the final artwork, but you're letting us hang out in the back while you figure things out.

I love how brutally honest it is. Inspiration never arrives when you're sitting around waiting for it, it just sneaks up on you while you're reading in the heat. And that last line about more average poems being born and what luck, that genuinely made me laugh. Such a refreshing read today!
